It is the Mission of the California Education Committee to Coordinate and provide education opportunities and programs to RCDs, Partners and the Communities.
Goals and
Objectives
- Increase services to RCDs in educational programs
Actions:
- Develop a mechanism for dissemination of information.
- Coordinate NACD educational program at the state level.
- Develop quarterly newsletter to district directors and districts.
- Develop a grant proposal to collect information on educational material and make available to districts.
- Obtain Associate membership from corporations to support Envirothon and other educational programs
- Increase committee internal and external communication and interaction
Actions:
- Establish the communicate network for members.
- Assure each area has a education representative.
- Coordinate with Envirothon sub-committee.
- Promote Volunteers in Conservation Education sub-committee
- 3. Encourage individual RCDs to integrate conservation programs into their annual Planning process.
Actions:
- Provide Educational Workshop at Area and Annual Meeting
- Provide field tour on conservation education
- Strengthen partnership efforts in education
Actions:
- Hold joint meetings with other educational efforts.
