It is the Mission of the California Education Committee to Coordinate and provide education opportunities and programs to RCDs, Partners and the Communities.


Goals and Objectives

  1. Increase services to RCDs in educational programs

    Actions:

    • Develop a mechanism for dissemination of information.
    • Coordinate NACD educational program at the state level.
    • Develop quarterly newsletter to district directors and districts.
    • Develop a grant proposal to collect information on educational material and make available to districts.
    • Obtain Associate membership from corporations to support Envirothon and other educational programs


  2. Increase committee internal and external communication and interaction

    Actions:

    • Establish the communicate network for members.
    • Assure each area has a education representative.
    • Coordinate with Envirothon sub-committee.
    • Promote Volunteers in Conservation Education sub-committee

  3. 3. Encourage individual RCDs to integrate conservation programs into their annual Planning process.

    Actions:

    • Provide Educational Workshop at Area and Annual Meeting
    • Provide field tour on conservation education

  4. Strengthen partnership efforts in education

    Actions:
