Clark Stevens

Executive Officer, Resource Conservation District of Santa Monica Mountains

Clark P. Stevens, Architect is a conservationist and architect for culturally and ecologically critical places.  He has served since 2010 as Executive Officer of the Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains (RCDSMM) and is Architect of its Malibu Lagoon Restoration and Liberty Canyon Wildlife Crossing Projects.   In the last 18 years, his New West Land Company designed conservation-based inhabitation plans in nine western States and three Hawaiian Islands.

His work has appeared in the LA and NY Times, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Architectural Digest and Dwell, A&E, Travel, and HGTV networks, and honored with State, National, and Global Awards.  In 2015, his Little Lost Cabin was Wall Street Journal’s Home of the Year Finalist, though only 700 square feet.

Clark is a 27-year resident of Topanga, where he lives with his wife Gina and son Kai.   He has yet to see a Mountain Lion in the wild, though he has seen a Ringtail- the cutest mammal in the US you have never seen.
