Katie Guntly

Rangeland Watershed Initiative Partner Biologist, Point Blue Conservation Service

My name is Katie Guntly and I am a Point Blue Conservation Science Partner Biologist for the Rangeland Watershed Initiative. I work closely with the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) staff, Mariposa County Resource Conservation District (MCRCD), and private land owners in Mariposa County. Together we address individual land owner resource concerns while improving the overall health of the land and ecosystems.

Born and raised on my family’s ranch in northern California I have always had a passion for wildlife and the ranching lifestyle. I received my B.S. in Wildlife, Conservation Biology and Applied Vertebrate Ecology from Humboldt State University and my M.S. from Texas Tech University in Wildlife, Aquatic, and Wildlands Science and Management.
