Lindsay Rains

Senior Environmental Scientist, California Department of Food and Agriculture

Lindsay began her career with the California Department of Food and Agriculture in 2004 with the Plant Health and Pest Prevention Services Division (PHPPS) Pest Diagnostics Center as a Pathology Technician. She continued her career with the PHPPS Division as an Environmental Scientist with the Permits and Regulations Unit and Pest Exclusion Branch. In June of 2016, Lindsay joined the CalCannabis Cultivation Licensing Division as a Senior Environmental Scientist. She has since promoted to Environmental Program Manager and provides oversight for the environmental evaluation of outdoor and mixed-light license types. She also holds a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of California, Davis in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior.
