Mark Cady

Senior Environmental Scientist, California Department of Food and Agriculture

Mark Cady is a Senior Environmental Scientist at the California Department of Food and Agriculture. As the supervisor of the Fertilizer Research and Education program he oversees a team managing a grant program and a diverse array of outreach and education activities. Mr. Cady has been with the Department for five years. He previously worked for four years at the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board in the Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program. For fourteen years, Mr. Cady held various positions at the Community Alliance with Family Farmers, promoting the adoption of sustainable agricultural management practices in the Central Valley. In his spare time, Mr. Cady serves as the Board President of the Yolo County Resource Conservation District. He received his MS in International Agricultural Development from UC Davis.
