Sacha Lozano

Program Manager, Resource Conservation District of Santa Cruz County

Sacha Lozano has been part of the Santa Cruz RCD since 2011, playing a variety of roles within the agriculture and conservation team. Some of his accomplishments with the RCD include: Fostering relationships and breaking barriers to provide technical assistance and outreach to growers (in English and Spanish), focusing on soil erosion control, irrigation and nutrient management, soil health, and water quality protection in agricultural lands; assisting economic valuation of ecosystem services and aquifer recharge suitability mapping; developing incentives for environmental conservation and stewardship; and supporting grower participation in State funded climate smart ag programs and carbon farming planning
