Susan Keydel

CA Nonpoint Source Program Coordinator, 319 Project Officer, and Harmful Algal Bloom Coordinator, Environmental Protection Agency

Sue Keydel is a physical scientist with the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Pacific Southwest (Region 9) in the Water Division and is located in San Diego.  As the California Nonpoint Source Program  Coordinator and CWA 319 Grant officer, Sue works to bring EPA resources to support addressing nonpoint source pollution and water quality issues.  Sue is EPA Region 9’s representative on the CA Agricultural Partners Forum, and coordinator for harmful algal bloom issues.  Previously, Sue worked in EPA’s TMDL, Monitoring and Assessment Unit, and as a Superfund Project Manager doing project management, remedial investigation and human health and ecological risk assessments.  Sue has an M.S. in Agricultural and Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology from the University of CA – Davis, and a B.A. in Environmental Sciences.
