9:30pm – 12:00 pm — Rancher-to-Rancher Field Day

The Rancher-to-Rancher (R2R) field training will be geared towards technical assistance providers who provide soil health trainings to producers. Attendees will learn R2R’s unique philosophy and methods, which include a values-based approach, a producer-led discovery of soil health principles through small groups and discussion with fellow ranchers.

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm — Technical Soil Skills Workshop

The East Stanislaus RCD will lead a training on soil health monitoring and sampling for technical assistance providers.

2:00 pm – 2:15 pm — Break

2:15 pm – 4:15 pm — Carbon Farm Plan Review

The McConnell Foundation’s Ross Ranch is home to a Healthy Soils Demonstration site, diverse conservation practices, and ecological trials. We will review the Carbon Farm Plan with Point Blue Conservation Science and the Carbon Cycle Institute to understand how to author a plan and execute it.
