The California Conservation Planning Partnership was formalized through a Technical Assistance Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed by the partner organizations on December 1st, 2022 at CARCD’s annual conference. USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service State Conservationist Carlos Suarez, California Department of Food and Agriculture Secretary Karen Ross, University of California’s Vice President for Agriculture and Natural Resources Glenda Humiston, and President of the California Association of Resource Conservation Districts Don Butz signed the agreement, which represents a commitment of the four organizations to work together to streamline their services to improve the efficiency and ease with which  land managers – including farmers, ranchers, and foresters – can get technical assistance to implement conservation practices.
