Renewed attention on forest management after a destructive 2018 fire season
Building partnerships is a huge part of meeting the forest management needs across the state. In the Central Sierra, CARCD received a $10 million NRCS Resource Conservation Partnership Program grant to support the collaboration between NRCS offices and RCDs to meet the needs of private landowners dealing with catastrophic tree mortality.
