Annual Speak-Off Competition

Published on August 30, 2024

Each year, California Association of Resource Conservation Districts (CARCD) hosts their Annual Speak-Off Competition. High school students (Grades 9-12) compete to show off their public speaking skills and knowledge of resource conservation. First, students compete at a regional level with winners advancing to the state level which takes place during CARCD's Annual Conference. First place winner will receive $300.

This year's topic is "What is the role of agriculture in meeting California's climate goals?"

If you're a student interested in participating in this year's speak-off competition, reach out to your local Resource Conservation District (RCD). You can find your local RCD by clicking the "RCDs" tab in the main menu and looking at the list of regions or interactive map.
